Description
I bought a programming cable for my Baofeng BF-F8+ radio and Chirp gives me an error for "Model" error. Would like to have made to be compatable.

Dale,
The BF-F8+ is supported by CHIRP. You gave no indication of what "Model" you were choosing so my guess is that you are choosing BF-F8HP (a Baofeng radio with 3 power levels). That would be incorrect for a BF-F8+ (a Baofeng radio with 2 power levels).
The "Supported Radio Models":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home list on the "CHIRP home/wiki page":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home has a link to a "Baofeng UV-5R Variants":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Baofeng_UV5R_Variants page which lists more than 30 radio variants (including the BF-F8+) that use UV-5R for the model selection.
I believe that if you choose UV-5R as the Model you will be successful.

Hello, I also cannot use CHIRP with my new BF-F8+ , I have tried to use the UV-5R as the model but that did not work either . are there any new updates?

Attach a "debug.log":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/How_to_report_issues file to this issue.
