Description

When I load a KG-UV6D file generated by CHIRP Daily 20120811, CHIRP Ver. 2.3 calls the radio a KG-UVD1P and limits the number of channel locations that it will display to 128. It will not allow me to go beyond that number of channels. The channels appear to be truncated at 128, because when I go back to the CHIRP Daily 8/11/12, all the channels show up.

Wouxun KG-UV6D is only supported in daily builds.
CHIRP Ver. 2.3 only support KG-UVD1P, that's why it wrongly recognize the image file.
BTW it will be unable to communicate with the radio.

I suggest you to update to latest daily build.

The same misbehaviour can happen with actual daily build: a KG-UV6D image file can be recognized to be a KG-UVD1P one.
Nevertheless reading from radio, modify memories and writing back to radio should work correctly as the bug only happens at image load from disk.

I sent the patch the developer list and it will be included in next days daily build.
