Description

I have the latest daily build and this far have had no issues until tonight, I wanted to load the national calling frequency of 146.52 into a channel with a name attached. Loading the frequency through chirp with a name assigned I kept getting radio not responding errors while trying to upload. For some odd reason, I also could not download from the radio with the freq programmed into channel 4, I deleted channel 4 programmed the freq into channel 5, downloaded the image from the radio, moved the freq up a channel into the channel four slot, added the name and was able to upload it that time.

It sounds to me like there was a short period of time that you didn't have the programming cable fully plugged into the radio. Usually when I have this issue, it is because I forgot to power the radio on.

Not the cable, I work in internet tech support, so My first step in anything is unplug it and plug it back in. I reseated the cable several times, powered the radio on and off several times and nothing worked until I deleted the frequency from channel 4 and programmed it to channel 5. then it worked fine. I also have an electronics cradle that the radio was sitting in to prevent the bale from being knocked loose. Like I said, not sure what the cause was, but the TX backlight lit up and stayed lit, and the TX light on the case lit up red and started flashing quickly red during the cloning attempts while the freq was stored in the channel 4 slot. Not sure what caused it but I am 100% positive that the cable was secure in the radio and the radio was on.

Started getting this issue again actually. I updated to the most recent daily build and added a frequency to my channels no problem, went back today to make some changes to my stored frequencies and all I get is a radio did not respond error. However if I switch over to the UV5R VIP software it downloads from and uploads to the radio with no issue so I know its not the cable connection.
