This version of the TIDRADIO TD-H8 and TD-H3 CHIRP-Next driver adds the following to the existing driver:
Add recently released TIDRADIO TD-H3 Plus as an additional model to existing TD-H8 and TD-H3 driver. A separate entry will now show up in the Model list for downloading from and uploading to the radio. This is preliminary support for the new TD-H3 Plus model and may need future refinements.
Add new setting to change the Operating Mode of the radio to HAM , GMRS or NORMAL (unlocked) mode. This setting is available for the TD-H8 , TD-H3 and the TD-H3 Plus models. A message will be displayed when switching this setting to warn the user of the implications of changing the radio operating mode. This will offer a consolidated, concise and simple way to change the operating mode of the radio without having to remember complex power-on key-press sequences that may be different for each model.
Add new setting category for Bluetooth for the TD-H3 and TD-H3 Plus models. The setting can be used to toggle Bluetooth on/off. It's anticipated that more Bluetooth settings will be added in the future for the TD-H3 Plus model as more information becomes available.
I'd like as many testers as possible before submitting a Pull Request to get these changes committed to the CHIRP master repository.

Here is an updated driver file that fixes a minor bug with the programmable side buttons on the TD-H3 Plus where when changing the setting it was off by one in the list.

A small change to the warning message for the Radio Operating Mode setting. It was not firing on the first item in the list. Fixed now.

Unfortunately the TD-H3 Plus does not allow per channel modulation setting. The firmware in the radio determines what frequency range will be treated as AM. So there's not a lot that CHIRP or the driver can do to fix that. If TIDRADIO ever adds per a channel modulation setting I'll add it to the driver ASAP. You could always send them a suggestion to increase the AM bands bounds in the firmware too...
As a consolation , I'm just finishing up some major work on the H-8, H-3 and H-3 Plus driver that will add a new panel for the TX Power Tuning settings for these radios. You used to have to use a dedicated TIDRADIO windows app to do that.
I've also added RX and TX CTCSS/DCS codes to the VFO A/B settings and fixed a long standing bug with the VFO A/B frequency Offset setting amongst some other fixes as well.
Not quite ready to upload the file just yet, but it will be soon!
