Description

When trying to download from radio (UV-5RAX+), the task bar progresses and the radio indicates a flashing communication as normal for the process. Once the task bar fills completely, I receive the message, "Radio refused to send second block 0x1fd0." The software and cable are not an issue. I programmed a dozen Baofeng radios yesterday before and after this one. (UV-5R, UV-82, UV-9R, AR-152) The last time I programmed this radio was March 2024. I am using the same cable with the same Windows laptop. Three things stand out: 1)Last time this was programmed, I was definitely using a different version of CHIRP. I am using the latest version of CHIRP now. 2)This is the only UV-5RAX+ radio in the batch of Baofeng's. 3)CHIRP does not have this exact radio in their menu. Last time I used the UV-5R programming with no issue. I have tried every UV- radio in the menu. Some perform the same, others do not recognize the connection. The radio does function if I program manually on the HT. I tried the volume knob all the way up thing. I tried resetting to factory setup. I even removed the battery overnight just in case something was making it cranky.
