Bug #11688
openMemories written improperly
0%
Description
I was updating the programming in this radio for the first time in quite a few years. I read the radio, copied in new/updated channels from a current program file for a TIDRADIO H3. I noticed in the KG-UV8E settings that the 2 of the 3 frequency ranges were empty. I corrected those. Made a few other menu related changes (scan type I know was one of those) and then wrote the file to the radio.
I expected the memories to be transfered to the radio as indicated in the programming file.
Some of the memories are fine and others are not. In most cases (that I have seen so far) frequencies and channel names are correct, but tones and power levels are not. The first thing I noticed was that channels 8-14 are set to low power in the program file, but most were set to high power in the radio. Then I noticed, first on channel 3, then on a few others, that the tones were not correct. They were either not set at all or not set correctly. I manually changed the power settings to low on the channels 8-14 that had been set to high, and through another read and write it seems to have stuck. However channels 56-62, while set to low power on the program file, only 56, 60 and 62 show low power on the radio and high power on the rest.
I have not had issue programming this radio before, that I can remember. It has been years, and I cannot remember if I last programmed with Chirp or Wouxun software, but the memories wrote to the radio correctly the last time.
