CHIRP

(Describe what you were doing) New radio just trying to set it up.

(Describe what you expected to happen) Expected to follow procedures and find model UV 5G Plus to select and start download.

(Describe what actually happened instead) It was not on the download list. Tried using UV5R not recognized. Used another one that was close and had a plus. Not enough data to comply.

(Has this ever worked before?) Never used either before.

(Does it work with OEM software?) First try with this whole new world. Using the supplied Buttfang cable and everything seemd great, but since it is not listed on the Chirp Program will not accept the unit. So, I would like to understand whether it is the radio, the cable or the CHIRP-Next program. Or, if necessary, how to skip the Chirp Next and program the radion manually. Which will of course Chap-Next my arse! Please let know know what your expertise reccomends! Thank you!
