Description

Channel names are read & written incorrectly from radio and become a garbled mess.

Starting fresh with factory reset radio using Chirp:

  1. Download from radio
  2. Make a few channels & give them names (note: radio supports 8 characters, chirp limits to 5)
  3. Write to radio
  4. Names may not be displayed or are garbled/partial/inconsistent
  5. Download from radio & names appear correct

Using TYT 2019 software:
Note: Radio is reported as TH-350US

  1. Download from radio
  2. Make a few channels & give them names
  3. Write to radio
  4. Names are displayed correctly
  5. Download from radio using Chirp
  6. Names are garbled and do not match up with channels
