Not all radios support this capability. Are you sure that the V80E does?

The Icom software has a TX inhibit option

Not missing. It is in the Extra settings tab. Here is how you use it.

  1. Highlight 1 or more memory rows to edit
  2. Right click a highlighted memory row and choose Properties in the menu that appears
  3. In the Edit Details window that appears click the Extra tab

An alternative method is to click View and enable the Show extra fields setting. Now you can edit from the main spreadsheet.

Galen, you're right that this driver should have exposed this not as a flag but as duplex=off like the rest. Can you try the attached module using LoadingTestModules and confirm it behaves like it should (i.e. like you expected)?

Thanks!

thank you, I must have botched my python upgrade from 3.9 to 3.12 on my MX Linux machine. On the same computer I've just been able to run Chirp under windows10 with python3 there and the duplex setting is fully working. I'll try to follow up with your procedure and post back.

I've loaded the module, yes duplex shows +- [blank] off
not sure what is better for users, to include a column for TX inhibit or duplux method. Inhibit column

Can you confirm that it shows duplex=off for channels you have configured as such (i.e. matches the radio and the other software)?

The chirp standard is to use duplex=off to indicate tx inhibit, so that's what it should be doing for consistency with all the other drivers, so that's what I want to do here.

Thanks!
