Either today's build fixed this or the Factory Reset I did fixed this. Either way, CHIRP is now populating the Settings, Browser, and Info tabs all properly.

Same issue with a fresh UV-5x3 and daily next-20240224.

Reset did not fix this for me. Tried a second time. No go.

I pushed an old image to the radio. And then a new download worked.

Work Mode Settings -> VFO A VHF2=220.000 and VFO B VHF2=220.00

Did a reset on the radio. Can download again.

Work Mode Settings -> VFO A VHF2=blank and VFO B VHF2=blank

The BTech UV-5X3 ships with invalid values in the sub-VFOs for several bands. Once you have saved your first successful download as a backup, take the radio and switch to VFO mode. Key in any valid frequency for all 3 bands. Then to the same thing for the other VFO. Now you should be able to download from your radio all should be good.

I will look into seeing if I can get CHIRP to handle this factory mistake more gracefully.
