CHIRP

I having been using CHIRP for a while and have recently acquired a used Yeasu FT-2500. It has clone mode function available via microphone cable. I am wondering if there has been any previous attempts or if it is possible to access the radio via USB, I have found cables available on Ebay? I did not see this model as being supported. The manual for the radio has pretty clear instructions for cloning radio to radio, So I am assuming that there is a work around for the transfer by utilizing a Yeasu Model that is selectable from the drop down menu? Perhaps there is a work around with using one of these?
