Description
I am using an RT System USB-K4Y cable to connect to an Wouxun KG-935G. I am getting a "radio did not respond" error when Chirp requests a download. It looks like the radio responds with about a 2 second lag (screen flashes to startup screen for about a second), but Chirp times out well before the radio responds.
I have used the same RT Systems cable to program Baofengs with Chirp. I am unable to get an IMG file since the download failed.

Please confirm you have the K1 connector fully seated into the radio. Different cables have been found to have different tolerances.
Based on the debug log, Chirp sends the first radio ID request command, but the radio never responded.
Please confirm you also have the correct comm port selected and the radio is fully booted before starting the download
Using wouxun CPS, please confirm you can communicate with the radio. If not, you have a problem with your cable, driver or connection between the PC and the radio.

Mel,
I have identified a solution (and maybe the problem). Chirp works for the KG935G with the Wouxun PC001 cable which is the one specified by the vendor for this radio. I have been unable to get it to work with the RT Systems USB-K4Y cable. The vendor has confirmed that the radio is fussy. The RT Systems cable works on Chirp for the Wouxun KG-UV6D V2 HT. The USB driver for this cable also needs to be installed for Chirp to work. I have not tried other cables.
Thanks.

I know the Btech cable also works fine with every Wouxun HT I have developed drivers for. I used both Wouxun and Btech cables for the 935G driver development without issue. The Btech is a genuine FTDI cable.
