CHIRP

I've looked extensively for this so please forgive me if it's already been answered somewhere, or maybe the answer is just "no". When sorting out large numbers of memories into banks on the Yaesu VX-8R, I am unable to select multiple memory slots to move to a bank. Rather, the boxes must be checked individually for each memory slot in it's appropriate bank which becomes tedious and subject to errors. Is there a way to shift/ctl select multiple slots to edit them when on the Banks tab, the same way as you can on the Memories tab? Is this problematic for just my radio, or does this behavior affect any radio with memory banks? It's an old radio so it might be worth upgrading to get this feature.
