The Supported Radio Models list on the CHIRP home page shows...
Wouxun
- KG-UV7D (use KG-UV6)

The UV6D driver was indeed working for the UV7D-50 MHz model prior to CHIRP build 20230810. However, I've confirmed that build and the latest (20230830) are now throwing the following error upon reading or writing:
Error communicating with radio
Failed to communicate with radio: I can't talk to this model (000: 48 69 57 58 55 56 44 31 HiWXUVD1
008: 02 ........
)
The radio stock being tested is the same that was compatible before (i.e. same firmware). Let me know if anything else is needed in order to assign this issue.
Thanks!

I don't see anything in the 20230810 build or the build before and build after that would affect a Wouxun radio. If you would determine exactly which build breaks support for your radio and attach the full (but 'clean') debug log, that should help shed light on the problem.

The newest version is still not allowing this radio to add 6 Meter Frequencies. Please look into this issue. Thank you

Mark and Mark,
There are 2 different issues being discussed here.
Not communicating with the radio.
Not accepting 6m Tx freq.
If there are 2 issues, then we should have 2 tickets.
I am with Jim, I see nothing changed that would prevent comm.
Regarding the 6m Tx freq - Is the screen shot after a recent read from your radio? If so, what are your freq limits set at (settings tab - Freq Ranges?)
The driver appears to use the values in the freq limit interfaces to limit the Tx freq value entry.
Also - if you are able to read from your radio -- what Radio Selection are you using, and does that mean the comm issue is gone?
