Hi,
From the photos this radio looks like a Quansheng UV-K5 which is sold under many brands.
You can test to download from the radio by selecting the Quansheng UV-K5 model in CHIRP.
If there are no errors and the data displayed is correct in CHIRP, it is likely working.
To confirm, you can check the value of the "Settings / Driver information / Firmware version" field (the value appears when you have just downloaded from the radio, not when you reopen a saved .img file). If the value is something like k5_v2.01.XX then it is a renamed UV-K5.

Thank You. You are right. Powerful UV-S5 is recognised as Quansheng UV-K5.

Googling doesn't turn up much about this model, as listed. Can you provide a link to make sure we get the model right? I'll add an alias map to the front page so others will know it's a clone.

As it turned out the radio "Powerful UV-S5" is one of clones of the radio "Quansheng UV-K5"

Product page list this radio as 8W power output and 2800 MAh battery capacity but these specifications are not the same as the original UV-K5 and the battery seems not larger than the one of the UV-K5.
To check if it is a mistake, you can you take a picture of the 2 stickers under the battery, the one sticked on the battery will gave us the capacity (UV-K5: 1600mAh) and the one sticked on the radio will gave us the output power (UV-K5: 5W).
If the values does not match the UV-K5, this radio could be an upgrade and the full compatibility with UV-K5 will be less obvious...

All other known clones share the UV-K5 specs apart the Baofeng UV-5R Plus that has a better battery capacity but the battery has bigger size

I'm surprised that there is an improved version with the same design and the same size battery, maybe POWERFUL is cheating on the specifications?
In any case the radio really looks like a UV-K5, even inside the battery compartment :)
