0%
Description
Is there any possibilty to overwrite the the frequency range?
What I tried: py scripts from similar issues, e.g. 10698. Menue settings / driver information: Limits disabled for modified firmware: enabled
Testet with Quansheng UV-K5 k5_v2.01.19_mod_AM_18to850mhz.bin
What change I need:
valid_bands: 18.000.000-76.000.000
change to: 18.000.000-88.000.000

Not sure how to handle this. The modified firmware is a moving target, with many incompatible versions.
I will not make a chirp version specifically for the firmware that you have in your radio, because it won't work on the majority of other radios.
I could just make the bands configurable when the extended firmware option is enabled, but that might confuse more people than it helps.
How do you think this should be handled?

Thank you for response. I understand the problem. In my opinion there are two solutions:
"Limits disabled for modified firmware: enabled" seems perfect fo me. But didn't work in this case?
In the meanwhile I found the script uvk5_unlimited.py wich works perfect. But the origin of the script may not be safe?
