Bug #10056
openExport to CSV not exporting all appropriate fields
0%
Description
I have an image file for a Baofeng UV-82 that does not export CTCSS or DCS tones to a CSV file. I am using CHIRP version "daily-20220917". When I export to a CSV from the existing IMG file it does not carry over the DCS tones, it just assigns CTCSS tone 88.5 to any new entries imported to an existing img file. I have tested this on a couple of different Baofeng radios with the same result. The result is that I cannot import all of the data necessary to add channels from the CSV file to the target radio.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for adding the img and csv files. They are very helpful in understanding what is going on.
I can see what you're talking about and to me it appears that the CSV columns are not on par with the Baofeng driver's columns. I can see some of the columns are missing from the CSV file such as "DTCS Rx Code" and "Cross Mode".
I think as a workaround what you could do is use "copy and paste" instead of exporting to a CSV file. It's going to take a few extra steps however.
1. Download from the radio (Radio1) which has all of the frequencies set up the way you want. 2. Edit -> Select All 3. Edit -> Copy 4. Download from the radio (Radio2) which you want to update (This step is critical because it gets the missing columns added and you should never download from one radio and upload to a different radio) 5. Select the top row of "Radio2" 6. Edit -> Paste 7. In the popup box, click "All"
That should get you everything in the "spreadsheet" from Radio1 over to Radio2 without overriding any of the "Other Settings" I believe.
I'll take a look at how the columns are created in the Baofeng driver and the CSV driver and see how that can be fixed.
Hope that helps,
Tony
